Gollum is a central character from the epic fantasy trilogy, The Lord of the Rings, by J.R.R. Tolkien, especially the latter two books, although is also seen in an important role in the preceding book, The Hobbit.

Warped by the power of the One Ring, Gollum has developed his own slightly odd speech, not least referring to himself as "Us" and the Ring as "my precious", plus making odd gollum noises in his throat.

Anyway, unfortunately the excitement generated by the movie trilogy release 2001-2003 has since died down, but I still thought I'd give it a go, just because it's a semi-famous character with a seemingly unique speech pattern.
