Other Translation Links

Some websites exist to just 'translate' from one form to another, with no specific bias on humour, but as a general 'thing'.

The Voices of Many is not responsible for the content on these pages, and at the time of writing, the links were accessible. The Voices of Many is also an independent production and is not affiliated or otherwise related to any of the below sites.

So far, we have 4 for you to enjoy.

  • elGoog - a mirror of Google in the truest possible sense (a mirror, in an online context, is a duplicate server providing access to the same content as the original). In this sense it does actual searches against Google's databases, but scrambles the returning format, so that the words are mirrored.
  • The Scramblizer - the site itself explains its own premise, but basically it will rearrange every letter in every word on a page, except for the first and last letters. An intriguing idea, and also implemented here in The Voices of Many (Scrambler voice), although done in a different manner (one which is consistent with every page reload)
  • The Shredder - a particularly unusual translator which takes the base HTML code which defines a page and 'alters' it, to provide a very unusual collage of material. As the site describes it, "content becomes layout" or something. Have a look and see what you think - for yourself.
  • WebCollage - one of the most interesting 'translators' out there. Every minute or so (not sure exactly how long it is), it sends off a selection of random words to Google, then visits the first few, and downloads the images it finds. It them assembles them into a single picture, a collage of a random sliver of the Internet. Well worth visiting (especially since you can also see the pages that each picture is sourced from)
